You tell us first
Send the short request form with what is bothering you and the days that suit. We reply with a time and roughly how long to set aside, so nothing is a guess on the morning.
Saturday morning hygiene appointments have opened up, and two same-day slots are held every weekday for toothache.

Every appointment is booked long enough to talk first. You will know what we found, what it costs and what happens if you wait — before anything is picked up.

How a first visit runs
Most people put off a dental appointment because they do not know what will happen in the chair. Here is the whole sequence.
01
Send the short request form with what is bothering you and the days that suit. We reply with a time and roughly how long to set aside, so nothing is a guess on the morning.
02
A full check of teeth, gums, bite and soft tissue, with small X-rays only where they change the answer. Nothing is treated in that appointment unless you are in pain and ask us to.
03
You leave with the findings in plain language, what needs doing now, what can wait and what it would cost in stages. Take it away and decide later if you would rather.
Treatments, time and recall
Appointment lengths are the real ones we book, not the shortest possible. Recall intervals are a starting point and change with how your gums behave.
Teeth, gums, bite, jaw joint and a soft-tissue check. Two to four small images where a surface cannot be seen directly.
Scaling above and below the gum line, then the two or three cleaning habits that would make the biggest difference for your mouth specifically.
Composite placed in layers and shaped to your bite. Numbing is offered as standard; you can also have the tooth isolated so nothing reaches the back of your throat.
For a tooth that is cracked or heavily filled. We scan rather than take a putty impression, and a temporary cover is fitted the same day.
Usually completed in a single longer appointment. Breaks are built in, and we agree a hand signal before we start so you can pause at any point.
An honest assessment first, including whether your case is better handled by a specialist. Scans, a simulation and the limits of what aligners can move.
Custom trays and a measured gel strength. Done after hygiene, never before, so the shade settles evenly and sensitivity stays manageable.
If you wake with a tight jaw or your front teeth are flattening, a thin guard protects the surfaces you still have. Fitted and adjusted at the second visit.
If a treatment is not right for you, we will say so and tell you who we would send a family member to instead.
Nervous patients
Dental anxiety is ordinary and we plan around it rather than talking you out of it. Tell us on the form and the first appointment is booked as a conversation only.
Nobody has to be brave here. You can sit up, you can ask what that noise was, and you can leave with nothing done.
Opening rhythm
Wednesday runs late for people who cannot take time out of the working day. Saturday mornings are hygiene appointments only.
Before you ask us
The honest answers, including the ones that are not especially flattering to dentists.
No. A long gap is the single most common reason people get in touch, and telling you off would only make the next gap longer. We look, we tell you what we found, and we put it in an order that is possible to actually get through.
Send the form and mark it urgent in the first line. Two slots are held each weekday morning for pain. If they are gone, we will tell you the soonest real time rather than booking you in and keeping you waiting.
Yes, from the first tooth onwards. An early visit is deliberately uneventful: a count, a look, a ride in the chair and nothing else. Children are booked alongside a parent's appointment where that makes the morning easier.
Yes, and it saves you repeat imaging. Name your previous practice on the form and we will request the file. Bring anything you already have, including a photo of an old treatment plan.
You get a written plan split into stages, each priced, with the clinically urgent items first. Nothing is added mid-appointment without asking you. If a cheaper option is reasonable, it is listed next to the one we would recommend.
Sometimes, and sometimes not. Natural enamel responds well; crowns, veneers and white fillings do not change colour at all, which can leave a mismatch. We will show you what to expect before you buy trays, not after.
No. We take them when the answer would change what we do — a surface we cannot see, a suspected crack, or a tooth being assessed for root canal treatment. Otherwise we skip them.
Yes. Hygiene can be booked on its own, including Saturday mornings. We will mention anything we notice so you are not in the dark, but you are not obliged to book a single thing.
Lead with what hurts
One short form. We read them ourselves and reply with a time, a length and what to expect in that appointment.
